Agromyzidae of Great Britain and Ireland

The dipterous family of Agromyzidae are commonly referred to leaf-miner flies, due to their larval feeding habits. The larvae feed within the leaves of plants, often making distinctive feeding patterns, which, combined with how the larvae deposits its frass (excrement), is often unique to a particular species.
This website aims to support the identification and recording of leaf-miner flies by providing information about Agromyzidae species, their host plants and life cycles. It was launched in December 2016 and is a work in progress.
