THE Auchenorhyncha are generally regarded as being divided into two series, the Fulgoromorpha and the Cicadomorpha: for convenience these will be dealt with in separate Handbooks. The present one deals with the Fulgoromorpha, comprising 4 families and 84 species in Britain; the Cicado- morpha total about 260 British species.
